"Give to the poor, and they will receive"
This will be the motto of my new religion, the cult that I shall call "Way to go, mate!". (Aussies may also use "On'ya, mate") I have decided to join the forces that make the world a better place and in line with my philosophies, I shall nominate a cause to all my actions. If you like, you can also nominate a cause - with your donation - and I will sail one leg of my circumnavigation to that cause. Smaller deeds can be nominated too. When I first got this idea, riding my pushbike to work, I immediately cycled the remaining 6km for raising the awareness of the Tibetan cultural heritage. I later had lunch to raise the awareness of North Korean orphans with learning disabilities. There are lots of causes in the world, and I'm not afraid to tackle any of them.
After all, you pay good money for all kinda crap every day. I mean things that are not worth shit. In fact, the junk that most people buy each day, was made by some poor 10-year-old in some poor corner of the world for less than the ink on this screen. Does anyone give a damn? Not really. I do. I really do give a damn.

The world goes round by billions of people paying good money for shit, and vice versa. Here's your chance to do the same in the comfort of your own home, or where ever you might be right now. The stuff you're reading is organically grown, solar powered and runs mostly on self-produced methane. And now it's all done for a cause of your choice!

PS. This kinda stuff is good for your soul, but it doesn't come without a cost for me. Our budget for this voyage is already gone haywire, and we're only just left Helsinki. As a sponsor to the cause, you will also receive special benefits. I'll talk about them later, ok? "Way to go, mate - that's our way"

I'm still deciding in what scale I should draw the map. Any ideas?

For now, all you need is to click the left image - Aliisa.net - A new beginning and surf the adventures of Sy Aliisa.

- You find a menu on the left and by selecting the items, the menu may change to bring new options. There is always a link back to the "Main menu" or "Aliisa.net". Content will appear on the right.
- The top "Photo Galleries", "Video Page" and "Home" will always be visible.

- Non-cruising related articles, such as Kapitan Peedoff's diary, will only appear in the "main menu"

- All photos are fixed size, apart from some old ones in the PNG section, which may open larger by clicking.

- There is currently no blog, or "latest updates" page. You have to follow the journey, look for the last active link in it and scroll down that page to see if anything was added...

- The link on the right takes you to the original LauriG.com pages. This is now becoming obsolete, as the menu for all the old cruising stories is available in Aliisa.net. (Select the 2003-2006 menu). This link from the Home page may disappear soon.
- Annina's own pages in Finnish language. She will always have her own section and it's totally up to her, what she want's to put there.
